Because Moms Deserve Something Special Too!
Motherhood is absolutely the toughest job and not for the faint of heart (well, yeah you hear me say that a lot!), as moms do it all ‘24/7’ for free. No sick leave, no paid vacations, no bonus other than the hugs and kisses from their children, (and what else is better than that?)
On Mother’s Day, why not give them a bit more TLC to lighten up their difficult days. (Here’s an honest thought about mom gifts: though we sometimes daydream of some fancy treat, nothing is best than practical items that we could actually use on a daily to combat our hard days and save us some sanity!)
Below are a few (unique and CAN DO) ideas to cheer up the mom or moms in your life this Mother’s Day.
- Offer Mama a day off! It doesn’t really mean that you have to force her out of her house if she doesn’t want to. She probably just wants to relax in her own room, do yoga or enjoy her bath without the whining little people in the background. So you might want to babysit for a day and let mama enjoy her precious time alone. You could also offer to do chores or run errands for her if that’s more convenient.
- If you have someone else trusted to look after the kids then, Ask Mama Out! (Shopping/ Mani/Pedi/ Massage/ Sauna/ Movies/ Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner dates).
Anywhere she hasn’t been to without the kids would be the best places to bring her.
- Although flowers and love letters are kind of old fashioned or cheezy for some, you might still want to give it a try!
- Bake her a cake or do anything handmade. Moms love anything made with love!
I might just give my mom some good ol flowers. These ideas are great!
